The National Wholesale Price Index (WPI) of Indonesia rose by 0.73 percent. Primarily due to the index of the Agriculture Sector, which increased by 1.68 percent.
The price change in December 2021 was contributed mainly by cayennes; oil palms; red chilies; shallots; purebred chicken eggs; palm/coconut kernel cooking oils; cement; and purebred chicken meat and purebred chicken meat with offal.
The WPI changed 2.91 percent in the 2021 calendar year and 2.91 percent year-on-year.
The WPI of Construction Materials in December 2021 rose by 0.57 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase of prices of cement, steel reinforcement, sands, steel roof truss, PVC pipes, and stone for construction foundation.
