Officer Training of the 2024 Village Potential Data Collection (PODES) in Kepulauan Yapen Regency

The aim of the 2024 PODES is to produce regional-based data sources that are able to describe the potential of a region, covering all administrative areas at the levels of village, sub-district and district/city throughout all region in Indonesia. 2024 PODES is also used to support the preparation of census, which one of them is the 2026 Census of Economic (SE) and is used by many parties in the context of development planning, such as identifying and determining disadvantaged villages, identifying disaster-prone villages, and identifying villages that have geographical difficulties. It is hoped that the resulting data will be able to support the implementation of national and regional development policies and programs in terms of the availability of regional (spatial) based data and information.

This year, PODES will be conducted using CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) for the first time. Field officers will collect the data via mobile application called FASIH (Flexible Authentically Survey in Harmony) which is accessed using their respective Android cellphone devices. Through this training, participants are given a comprehensive understanding as a provision for the data collection activities that will be conducted.
