February 2022, Wholesale Price Index (WPI) National General fell 0.01 percent

Abstract

In February 2022, the National General Wholesale Price Index (WPI) fell by 0.01 percent against the January 2022 IHPB. The decline in the WPI occurred in the Agricultural Sector by 1.14 percent.
Some commodities that experienced a decline in prices in February 2022 include: broiler eggs, broiler chicken, cayenne pepper, split stones, cooking oil, and purebred chicken.
The WPI change in the 2022 calendar year is 0.74 percent and the year-to-year WPI change is 2.90 percent.
The WPI for Building/Construction Materials in February 2022 increased by 0.29 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in commodity prices for diesel fuel, sand, building construction iron, goods made of aluminum metal ready to be installed for buildings, PVC pipes, and paints and the like.
